"As
founder and former head coach of The Hamilton Hammerheads
Athletic Club and as nine-time member of
Canada’s
National Triathlon Team and 2007 National Team Coach, I have
had the opportunity to work with and coach athletes of all
ages and abilities. This has afforded me to gain valuable
and unique knowledge as to the needs of runners and athletes
alike. This knowledge along with my business training,
athletic background and entrepreneurial mindedness gives me
a strong base to build a successful and viable business in
the Runner’s Den-Waterdown (RD-W).
The
Runner’s Den in Waterdown will be part of a franchise chain
owned by Gord and Esther Pauls of Hamilton. Since 1996 the
name Runner’s Den has become synonymous with great service,
training and expertise for all athletes alike. The Runner’s
Den-Waterdown will be no exception.
Runner’s
Den-Waterdown will market to 20-60 year old males and
females seeking a healthier lifestyle through regular run
clinics, run opportunities, and personal customized
training. RD-W will also introduce
Southern Ontario’s
first 8-rider Compu-Trainer system. Projected onto a 100”
screen, this fully computerized interactive system will
augment an athletes training in providing indoor cycling
throughout the year.
Waterdown is located minutes away from
Burlington,
Oakville and Hamilton with the potential to draw
customers/clients from the Guelph, Milton, and Cambridge
areas. Through the growth in Burlington’s south-west corner
Waterdown has shown a much higher growth rate than the
average city in Ontario creating a greater opportunity for
business potential.
With the
store opening in October 2006, I look forward to
establishing the #1 choice in supplies, training and service
for the Waterdown/Burlington/Flamborough area."
